We had a succesful event during the 66th Annual Brat Days, celebrating the sausage that made Sheboygan famous! Members operated from their homes over the 2 day event, totalling 288 contacts. Band conditions were spotty at best, but those who did work us were happy to make the contact. QSL Certificates are still available: W9VCL Sheboygan County Amateur Radio Club, 4235 N 29th Street, Sheboygan, WI 53083. Please include $2.00 for an 8-1/2×11 mailed in manila envelope or send $1 and SASE #10 (certificate will be folded). More information: www.W9VCL.com on QRZ.com.
Field Day 2019———it was a success!
Setup began at 10:00 a.m. at the Town of Sheboygan Firehouse Park. In total, the club had 2 operated 2A with an additional GOTA station. Simple/wire antennas made the set-up a snap and we enjoyed a pleasant day in the park. We made a total of 96 contacts on 5 bands and had a few hams stop by to check out the operation.
Join us next year – the fourth full weekend in June for Field Day 2020!
Brat Fry 2016 – another successful year!
The brat fry is our yearly fund raiser that helps to defray the costs of insurance and other club operating expenses as well as provides funds for equipment upgrades that are needed. On April 30, 2016 we held our brat fry at the South Side Piggly Wiggly in Sheboygan.
This year John AB9HH and Linda K9TZU were gracious enough to organize this year’s event. Other members stepped to to lend a hand at our only fund raiser for the year.
